General entry requirements: Normally an upper second-class degree (2:1) in a relevant topic area. Lower second-class may be accepted with evidence of high proportion of upper second class marks in latter part of programme or relevant work experience. Direct entry possible with RPL. Following interview and presentation of the requisite documentation, they may gain direct entry into the scheme by being awarded Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Such candidates would be considered to have advanced standing, and would gain exemption from certain modules (see the Cardiff Metropolitan University handbook). English Language Requirements: For students whose first language is not English, a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no sub score lower than 5.5 (or equivalent qualification) is generally required for admission.
